Photoshop tools not working when I duplicate a layer?
I'm trying to shrink the face of a picture on Photoshop. But after I duplicate a layer, none of the tools-eraser, history brush, blur tool- will do anything to the picture. This only occurs after I duplicate a layer. The icons of the layers at the bottom right corner of the screen show the pictures changing, but the actual images don't change. I've already tried resetting all tools and it doesn't do anything. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

Hmm i'm not sure! :o
There is only one thing that I can think of that I would try if I were you.
-Right click on the layer in which you're having trouble with.
-IF there is an option that says "Rasterize Type" click it.
You should be all set!

Tryout GIMP (free alternative to Adobe Photoshop) and see if you run into the same problem
