what drug did I take?
One night after my friends and I went bowling, we came home and had a few drinks. Then one of my friends pulled out some light brown rock type thing and crushed it up and offered everyone some so we all took it. They all snorted it but I mixed it with my drink cause he said i could do that. He called it brown sugar and I know that's another name for heroin. But they said it was MDMA. Looked it up and it doesn't seem to match the definition of MDMA. So my question is: did I do heroin or was it MDMA? Or was it something else..

It sounds like MDMA. The brown color was from impurities left over by incompetent synthesis. Hope those unknown chemical impurities dont give you permanent neurological damage.

Edit: I'm not sure what I experienced. It wasnt psychedelic. And it wasn't like a weed high. It was just cheerful and time seemed to slow down. Mixed with the booze was really trippy. And I don't remember everything that happened. And I later woke up and threw up. But I didn't drink much at all for throwing up

Forget chromatography/spectrometry, or just asking your friend. Let a random teenager on the internet decide for sure. That way you know for certain. Hell, @fydor can even determine the grade of each precursor used, and the specific route of synthesis.
