My bearded dragons heat lamp went out!?

so this morning, I turned on my heat lamp and uvb on. When I came back to my room, my heat lamp was off. I tried unplugging it and turning it in again but it wouldn't! I have to go to school right now

Will she survive? And is there anything my mom can do? Since today she is working at home? Can she but a normal light bulb in it? Please help!

I use a regular 60 watt spotlight bulb for my bearded dragons heat light. Her basking spot gets to around 100 with it. Plus they work out alot cheaper Than reptile heat bulbs. A spotlight costs me £2.50. The same wattage bulb for reptiles would cost me £8

  • That happened to me, if your in a big hurry just cover the tank with a towel or something. Don't use a regular bulb. Your lizard will be fine for one day.

Im sorry, not really sure if a regular bulb would work. the longest they can go is 24 hours, but i wouldn't recommend it. Always have an extra bulb. Last resort if to get mom to go get one.

She can survive a while without it. Just get her a heat lamp ASAP so she doesn't risk getting MBD which can be deadly.

Ask her if she can run down by the pet store real quick and buy a new one.
