locking photos in android?

Is there a way to lock photos in an android phone just to keep someone from deleting it WITHOUT actually hiding the photo itself?

    I agree with Sharmila. Leo Privacy Guard is so far the best app for hiding your personal stuff in playstore. It can hide images and videos and also locks application. Thus you can get dual protection through it.

    You can keep a copy with a name that doesn't end with .jpg so the gallery app doesn't find it, and then rename it if someone deletes the visible copy.
