Java:Blue J, then C:? ?

I am new to programming. I learned Java one year ago. Now, I want to learn C. But I don't know what environment, compiler, etc. to choose.

    Operating system will be a factor in which compiler you use.

    If you used Eclipse or NetBeans with Java, you can get the C versions for either.

    Try a few. Decide on which you like. We cannot tell you what IDE/Compiler to use, that's based on personal preference. I use Microsoft Visual studio.
