Why Do I Feel This Way?
I'm 13, turning 14, and for some reason I think I look ugly. Like when my hair is down, I think I look horrible, when my hair is half up half down I think I look fine, and same when my hair is in a ponytail. Anyways, when I look into a mirror all I see is this ugly girl. I have big eyes, with big pupils but my nose, mouth, and face is small. I'm skinny, but I have kind of wide hips (even though size 0 is too loose on me) and I'm 5'2, and weigh only 99-101 lbs. I'm not sure why I feel this way, I can't wear makeup until I turn 14 which is about 3 months from now, and I can't wait to start wearing makeup and feel confident! I forgot to mention that I also have black circles around my eyes (I've always had them since I was little) and they never go away!! I sleep properly, exercise, eat fine. I went to the doctor and they said they don't know what it is. But I think my main problem is my eyes that are making me ugly:(

I'm pretty sure you're actually really pretty. and you're just almost 14! But to actually answer your question, try looking online for natural ways to get rid of the dark circles under your eyes or ask your mom if you could jus't wear a bit of concealer under your eyes to cover them up a bit. As for your hair down, maybe find a new hairstyle or haircut that would enhance your face shape and features. I'm pretty sure your natural hair is already fine, but maybe there is this different way you want to part your hair or a different haircut you've been wanting to try that will look nice on your face shape. Last but not least, every girl including you is beautiful :)

Ask the doctor about this exact question, it can't hurt because it might be something tricking you mentally and trust me you don't want that getting worse.

If you're a teenager, YOU ARE NEVER PRETTY, I've said that about myself when I was YOUR AGE!
If someone told you, you’re ugly, a video popped up March 6, 2015 where a 4-year-old named Miss CiCi talked about what happened after a boy in her pre-kindergarten class told her that she looked ugly.
CiCi didn’t cry. CiCi didn’t get mad. CiCi just told him what’s what: "I didn't come here to make fashion statement. I came here to learn, not look pretty."
Listen to radio stations like K-LOVE, that inspires you! Thinking & talking negative about yourself, is the work of Satan sorry, I'm trying to bring you back up. When people are feeling low & down about themselves, negative thoughts comes out. When you're happy, you will KNOW & find love. Have faith! It is specially HARD ON TEENS. BEAUTY comes from within.
No matter how much makeup, how expensive your clothes, or how many times you dye your hair or how often, if you're still plastic outside, that beauty doesn't show. It comes from how you feel inside, and how you treat others. Ex: Michelle Pfeiffer is sexy EVEN without make-up!
Beauty comes from your good genes, and good beauty care from day one, plus 3-5 servings of fresh fruits & vegetables NOT made by man or woman like Cindy Crawford or supplements from GNC.
Beauty is wearing little house dresses, spaghetti-strap floral dresses - with no bra, just a very natural look. I'm thinking a hippie @ heart. I think a beautiful floral dress, barefoot, is way sexier than any Victoria Secret thing. Add a flower on your hair, that's the icing on the cake! Seeing a woman's neck is really beautiful.
A happy person is always beautiful.
Being 'cool with yourself' is really the only thing that people remember at the end of the day.
We all have flaws. Even celebrities making tons of dollars a day! "I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification."
~ Lady Gaga, referring to her cheek prosthetics, which she no longer wears.
Katy Perry also admitted she is insecure about certain aspects of her looks.
She said: “My brows and my eyes, I think, are what frame my whole face. I have all right lips and all right cheekbones, but they`re no showoffs. If I get my brows and my eyes right, that really sets the whole face.”
"My skin used to be a lot worse than it is so I would use a lot more coverage as I was insecure about my skin,” Perry added.
Positive attitude makes people BEAUTIFUL, It's because they see other parts of the world suffering more than them. If it's about your tummy, jaw, breasts, face etc. today, what will you find about yourself that's negative tomorrow.
I thought I was ugly, because I never dated, but I treat people with respect, and I inspire them, making their negatives into a positive. Coming from Asia, I've been to where people only eat rice all day & nothing else, but that never bother me, so I've been there, I can relate, but people who has MORE than us, can't seem to appreciate how lucky they are.
“People always shoot down what they don’t understand... The only way to achieve beauty is to feel it from inside without breaking it down into individual physical attributes.” Wait, did I just quote Miley Cyrus?
"If you can learn to use your mind as well as you use a powder puff, you will become more truly beautiful." ~ Sophia Loren. She was a sexy symbol 40 years ago, she's was wearing a bathing suit, underarm hair and legs hair.
Iman's tip: "If beauty is in the eye of the beholder, let the beholder be you."
Most confident hero: Heather Abbott leaving the hospital in a pink dress and heels with her crutches. She was Boston bombing amputee. Or better yet, Google Derek & Amy Purdy = Dancing with the Stars. She’s the double amputee champion snowboarder.
Pink's quote, rock-star cover girl for Glamour's July 2013: "I'm just living my life. I don't want to be your kind of good.' The.Girl.Can.Rock!"
If you look @ the Red Carpet, many celebrities have dark knees or ugly feet wearing sexy sandals too small! Julianne Moore & Ke$sha for instance, two examples with flawed ugly feet, but they have beautiful smiles forgetting about their aches & pains, and walked the Red Carpet.
It’s almost impossible to look as perfect as some of us deem celebrities look in photos. Heck, some of the celebrities don’t even look like their own images thanks to heavy photoshopping. Some of it is getting a little ridiculous and you have to think about the young, impressionable children who could happen upon these pictures.
