If you back up your files on your phone without a sims card will it still save your information?

SIMs don't hold info. Internal memory and SD cards do. Also back up to what ever cloud service you prefer. Best luck.

SIM cards (not "sims cards") don't hold data. So whether or not it is in a phone doesn't matter. Where that data lies is in the phone's memory and/or SD card.

If you do a system back up using Google services on an android, yes. Your phone's contacts, calander, settings, and sometimes pictures are backed up on the Google cloud servers. Simply sign in to your new phone and all your old data downloads to it.

Some phones have quite a lot internal memory.

sim cards hold your contacs for easy transfer to another phone that is all they really do
