What does it take to move the battery tray assembly from under the floor to the firewall on a 1949 Chevy pick-up truck?

    Some of the '47 to '49 have the inner fender already with the battery bracket. I have one. It sits on the right side. Bought extras for my '51 1/2T step side.

    All you need is a spot on the firewall large enough to put the battery and a bracket to handle the weight. You can either make your own bracket or shop around and find one that is suitable. The engine doesn't care where the battery is mounted. All it cares about is that the cables are hooked up right.
