The question/ "correct answer" gives phony opinions about political figures and is slanted toward the askers political views in an attempt to give the characters a political black eye.

If I answer the affirmative but then give the origins of the two opposing beliefs in an attempt to educate, have I violated the guidelines? no.

Seems to me the correct answer violates the guidelines in an effort to seek a response. It slanders or misquotes both parties and makes value judgements as well as some name calling.

Pretty cheap chicken stuff if you ask me.

I just want them to stop the harassment and restore my points. what do you think ? Have I violated the community guidelines? Or has the asker, by singling me out for retribution based on the dislike of my answer ?

    Their question was about

"Do liberals still think they came from apes" or words to that effect.

I just tried to reread it and the content reads different now. Their choice of correct answer is the place where they muffed it.

My answer that corrects them both with information about origins is missing and the tripe remains, oh well.

Flush it. They say giving and receiving info is the purpose yet they deleted the content that had the information.

Arguing on either side is in violation, yes.

I saw that question, and it should have been reported, not answered. The question itself was inflammatory and insulting -- in other words, bait. And you (and at least 65 others) 'bit'. Questions such as that are asked for no other reason except to get strong reactions, usually negative, from others.

Sorry, but if you choose to answer such a question you are likely to get reported if your answer is anything other than plain vanilla. If you fire back at the asker or other users, you've crossed the line into ranting and/or soapboxing, and that's a violation. Answering abuse with more abuse falls under the '2 wrongs don't make a right' rule we all learned in kindergarten, and you're unlikely to win an appeal.

Sorry. In the future, report such questions or avoid answering them.
