In Excel how do I sort a column so the numbers run properly; 1 2 3 4 5 6 and so on?

Update:

When I use the sort tool it's sorting it weird like; 1 10 100 101 102 etc.

Your numbers are formatted as Text (or have a leading ' )

Either format as General or Number and resort, or if they must be text use Data>Sort >OK then on Data warning submenu select Sort anything that loks like a number as a number option .

    Highlight the data range.

    On the toolbar, select Data

    Then Sort

    Then Ascending.

Follow Edward's instructions, as that is the way to do it.
