It’s also know as transfer gear case or transfer gearbox or transfer box and sometimes people call it jockey box and sometimes it is also known as T-case. Transfer case is mostly found in a four-wheel drive system in four-wheel drive and other four-wheel-drive vehicles. Its main function is to receive power from the transmission and sends it to the front axles and rear axles of car.
