What makeup foundation is best for dry acne-prone skin?

I'm having a really hard time choosing what foundation to purchase as their is so many different types. I have acne and redness, but my skin is not oily-it is very dry! sometimes it flakes at the end of the day its so embarrassing at school. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please drugstore not high end!

what kind of acne medication do you use? if it has benzol peroxide in it, that's the reason your skin is so dry and irritated. try switching to a wash with salicylic acid instead. I really like the grapefruit one i think it's by neutrogena. Also it's super important to be using an oil free face lotion. It calms your skin so you actually get way less breakouts in the long run, plus makeup goes on better too. I know this isn't what you want to hear but hear me out on this. This is exactly what i've been doing for 3 years. Clinique is my favorite makeup brand ever. Their products don't irritate your skin like others do because it doesn't have any added fragrances or anything. I take a pump of their moisturizing gel, use a tiny drop of one of their many liquid foundations (the lady at the counter can find the right one for you), mix them together, and then apply that to my face just like a tinted moisturizer. A tube of foundation costs around $30 but seriously every one lasts me an entire year. I hadnt found a single drug store foundation i had liked before discovering clinique. Although if you're dead set on drug store i know that you can't go wrong with neutrogena. you just really need something that will soothe your face and not irritate it more.
