Ps4 graphics vs Xbox one graphics?

I have a Xbox one and my brother has a ps4. It was to my knowledge that the ps4 has better graphics. We have compared a few games like cod aw, shadow of mordor, and destiny. In mine and his opinion, the Xbox one seemed to look a bit better. I don't know why, but is all the hype about ps4 shitting on Xbox one graphics true. But, the ps4 seems to have less frame rate drops, but neither seem to do it much unless I am playing far cry 4 on my Xbox one.

PS4 does have better specs overall on paper, but it's not a big difference. Really the only games you will notice the better specs are probably exclusives.

In multiplat games they are, for the most part, going to look almost exactly the same, with a few minor differences that most people would never notice unless compared side by side.

I have a PS4 and an XB1. I bought a few games for my XB1 (assassins creed unity, GTV 5, Destiny) and then borrowed my friends PS4 versions of the game to compare.

I went to the same locations, same time of day/weather, same angles and everything. I flipped back and forth and they looked almost exactly the same. It shouldn't be my tv, I have a 48 in samsung smart tv, and it's not my eyesight, I have 20/20 vision.

The power gap between the consoles is not nearly as big as people make it out to be.

As for why you and your brother think XB1 looks a little better, it could be your TVs, if you weren't using the same exact TV to compare.

The biggest difference most people have noticed (I think) is the foliage. I don't have a PS4 but from all the gameplay videos and comparisons, that's the only thing I've noticed.

But honestly it could just be your TV. I think I read somewhere that a lot of TV's can't actually display PS4's resolution, so it's on par with Xbox one which does have a lower but apparently more compatible resolution. I can't remember where I saw it but you could look further into that if you're interested.

But really there's not a noticeable difference.
