TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE.I survived a long distance relationship for a little more than a year..IT WAS HARD THOUGH,but It worked, it made us stronger I feel.
When you know he or she is the one you should never let go.
Skyping helps a lot, to talk about how your day went and stuff..also selfies, very good idea, to feel closer even though you are apart.
Dont stop talking, you will have lots of things to talk about, since you are not together at the moment.
You can send each other presents from time to time, just a small gesture of affection!
Remember that trust and communication is the whole key to succeed on a LDR.
