How to quit my job?

I am 16 and I got my first job at a fast food restaurant 7 months ago. The people there have been great and overall it has been a good experience. I am going to be travelling all summer, and then in August I am moving to Norway for a year to be an exchange student. I have always been planning on quitting in June, but I am starting to lean towards leaving now. Spring sports are picking up, I have to put a lot of time into learning Norwegian, and I just need a few months of calm before travel craziness starts. My boss is very nice, relaxed, and approachable, but he doesn't have "office hours" really, so you never know when you'll see him. I've never heard of people scheduling meetings with him. How should I go about quitting? Would it be okay to just ask for a minute with him when I see him, or do i have to schedule a meeting? How should I phrase/explain my reason for leaving? How do I start the conversation?

    Here's what you do,

-type/write out a letter of resignation stating that you will be leaving your job(there are examples on Google)

^this will be your two week notice that you're leaving

-when you see your manager/boss, ask him if he has a minute to talk (make sure to do this two weeks before you want to quit because you usually have to finish out the two week schedule then they will take you off)

-tell him verbally your plans and that you will not be able to work anymore

-give him the letter of resignation

-thank him and stuff and just finish out your two weeks there.

Have fun on your trip! Hope I helped. :-)
