This all depends on the type of person and how strong he is. There are times when people would decide to move on and let go, it doesn't interfere with the way they would treat others. But on the other hand it does have an effect on some people in the way they would treat others or care about certain things. It's just a way of protecting themselves to prevent future rejection or neglect.

Yes they could because of they feel everyone would let them down or mistreat them. They may find it hard to trust people.
