Indiana passes Religious Freedom act & the Left is outraged? This law is a clone of the Federal & Sen. Obama voted for it.?
Why shouldn't a business owner say no to a customer that goes against his beliefs. Should speak volumes to the deaf on the left, they can't understand how morals can trump the almighty dollar. Something a true liberal neither possesses and doesn't have a clue on, morals
Heading to Indy in mid April for a few days and plan to visit the local businesses. Ironic, they want to boycott & the final 4 is in Indy, love it when a plan comes together.

America is not a Theocracy. We are a Democracy. No, it isn't a clone of the Federal laws designed to protect and preserve the religious freedom of all religions, including, but limited to, Native American, Christianity, Spiritualism, Paganism, Witchcraft, and Satanism.
What this radical group of conservatives are attempting to do is spread their special brand discrimination toward a certain group of individuals and claim that they are doing it because the religious tenets demands it. and this federal laws protects those rights , they are wrong. What concerns the Democrats is that in infringes on our Freedoms and will open the door to further discriminations toward other individuals in the future.
What gives them the right to discriminate against individuals who doesn't fit their profile. If a woman's hair is a little too short, a little too curly, or she is wearing slacks that look a little too masculine for a waitress-- does she has a right not to serve her? How about two men who go out to eat for lunch will they be refused service? Who determines their right to judge individuals as undeserving to be treated with respect for simply looking different.
Yes, trampling on other people's rights should outrage everyone. Americans are better than that.

The federal law was enacted to allow Native Americans to go on peyote trips as part of their religious rituals.
This Clinton era law was intended as the first step toward legalizing marijuana.
Conservatives warned this would happen, and they have been proven right.
The law only paved the way to legalizing marijuana, which is now a reality. And it has never been used successfully to protect the rights of Christians.
Liberals are outraged that Christians are seeking the same protections that were given to Native Americans 20 years ago.
The law was supposed to be expanded by increasing the number of people who can use legalize drugs, not expanded by increasing the number of people who have religious freedom.

If you want to split hairs, do it. Why would I discriminate a snake handler, what moral conduct is he not lacking? Just leave your snake in the car. Are you saying you should not use a moral compass when doing business? Talk about intolerance, now you're discriminating against the very fabric of their lives.

TRUE: a Clinton-Gore law they APPLAUDED when they signed it guaranteeing the rights of religious people to not be oppressed. All you people saying how the new law harms anyone: show me a business in Indiana hurting anyone. All we hear are your hypothetical phobias of lynchings and signs on doors "gays get out".

Because the Federal law is nowhere near what theirs says. The Federal law was created to protect RELIGIOUS ACTS, not the use of religious beliefs to discriminate. For instance, the government may not interfere with your church service even if it includes snake handling, but they would not allow you because of your beliefs to refuse service to anyone who wouldn't handle a snake.

Now, that this issue is the front page we will see just how much business owners will be protesting this discrimination issue.
