A villager turns into a zombie if a zombie attacks it and kills it. It can be changed back by throwing a splash option of weakness and giving it a golden apple. Villagers can be turned into witches by getting hit by lightning.

You can just lead a zombie towards a village. Loose the zombie and it might direct its attention towards a villager

If a zombie attacks you, you're an automatic zombie lol. That's the most common way I know of.

To change a villager into a zombie, it either needs to be struck by lightning, or attacked by a Zombie.
