Fred Phelps is dead. He was actually a democrat when he was active in politics. For all that I think Jeb is only a candidate because his daddy was a president, he isn't on record sharing any views with the Phelps Family and the main complaint by other people against Jeb is that he isn't particularly conservative. He is kind of moderate. Jeb himself has expressed doubts that he could get a republican nomination since he is way far from "Right" enough to satisfy the conservative crowd. They call him a RINO.

Of course that means he is likely the only candidate they can offer who has a chance to actually win the White House but they never seem to get that and I am not complaining.

You seem to miss the idea of what a primary election is. If that minister isn't running for the Republican nomination, the primary issue is a moot point. And no, it wouldn't be close, the minister would be in the cellar with a few other crackpots. Bush is a 1st tier candidate.

Maybe in the South he can trick the voters but he is a Republican through and through. Incoherent? No, it's clear as day, keep up.
