How do I convince my parents to get me an iPhone?
My parents are divorced and are both high-middle class. I have an awful prepaid phone that a lot of my piers often make snark comments about it. I have asked my parents many times about getting an iPhone/Samsung, and their response is always no. I tried to convince them to split the bill, but no they got in an argument and I ended up getting burned. I have used my phone for 2 years responsibly. The only "sure" option is saving up $700 for a 6 because they don't want me to be on a contract.

Tell them 5C is free on 2 year contract, that helps alot if money is an issue. If they dont want to pay the monthly contract then just get ipod touch as you have no monthly payments that way and can still use imessage and facetime free over wifi and can use apps. Thats another option.

You could get a cheaper iphone like the 5c or 4s
