be honest, would you turn in a bag filled with 125k that fell out of an armored truck like joe cornell?

I would. If it was $100 they might figure 'Aw, screw it. We'll make it up.' But $125k, they're going to come looking for it. It's a real risk to hold onto it.

OTOH if you give it back you get some brief media attention and everyone wants to shake your hand. And I believe a 10% reward is customary in cases like this. That's $12.5k, nothing to sneeze at. And you can put that right in the bank and not have to look over your shoulder for the rest of your life.

Honestly, probably not. I could go to college and be free of debt for that price could i not? I could pay my mom's health insurance. I could donate to charity.

And i could buy so many tacos. Delicious crunchy tacos.

At the same time, i might feel differently if it were to really happen to me. I'd be a liar if i said i wouldn't feel ashamed for it. My moral compass would not really approve. Even if i don't spend it foolishly, it's not my money.

No.....I would take the money to Vegas and wash it through the slots just in case the bills were in a traceable series...I would then put the cash in a safe deposit box under a false name....I guess I'm the only honest person so far

That would be tough, I don't know for sure. When I see someone drop money I will chase them down to return it but that may be more out of compassion for the human than my own goodness.

he did not get 10%, he got 5K

Yes, I would turn it in. But that's my moral standard.

I'd need reassurance that the money was untraceable, if so, then it's mine.

    Honestly??

Yes, I would absolutely turn it in to the police. No joke.
