I need to remotely get a file from a computer can anyone help me?

i have a laptop and am on the road and i forgot to transfer a file from my main computer to a thumb drive. is there a way to get my file legally and remotely

    Yes, if your home computer is connected to the internet and you have installed the necessary software on it to enable you to do this.

    Or, if you have a trusted friend whom you can ask to go to your house and make a copy of the file and email it to you.
