Why do I feel like my friend is lying?

My childhood friend who lives in Oklahoma claims she had a brand new PS4 she bought for infant son. She showed me many pictures of it. She said she wants to give it to me because now she has no use for it. However, she said she won't know when she will send it because she works 10 hours a day and is raising her son by herself. That was 4 days ago. Now I have a feeling she won't send it at all. I'm not contemplating getting a summer job to get my PS4 myself. Is my gut feeling right?

Seems a little weird to buy a PS4 for someone who can't actually use it. I'd go with your gut on this one. Besides, if it turns out she's not lying, you can use the money you've saved up for something else.

I don't understand how I could help. I mean shipping can be a long process via USPS.

There's a chance that she hasn't had the time
