I have another question about uber?

I did some research and I found out that uber does have an insurance policy that covers drivers and passengers, but if you get into an accident or something with a passenger in the car, how do you show that you were driving for uber and submit a claim to their insurance policy? 10 points/best answer. Any and all comments appreciated

You don't submit a claim to their policy. If YOU are driving, then YOU need a commercial policy. Consult an appropriate insurance professional, but you can't drive people around for money on a standard car insurance policy.

You are completely misunderstanding the exact coverage they have, and how it works.

You cannot submit a claim for damage to your car, to Uber. The coverage for YOUR car, is ONLY under your policy - and if you don't have a commercial policy to cover livery, your insurance isn't going to cover. Also, that Uber coverage, does not stop the passenger - or other injured party - from suing YOU. You very well might have a difficult time getting defense costs from Uber, not to mention the HUGE coverage gap for the time when you're on the way to and from picking up a fare.

Bottom line: never, ever, EVER rely on someone else for your own financial protection.

Uber's policy covers them from lawsuits, not the driver. The driver needs a commercial policy. If you are the Uber driver and don't have a commercial policy you'll be subject to lawsuits from your passengers plus your auto insurance won't cover your accident, neither your car or the other property.
