what is bleeding out in doberman breeders?

I just like to know what goes on, when a Doberman dog is in danger of "bleeding out"

    Are you talking about vWD, a blood clotting disorder that runs in Dobes? If so, here's a link to the information. I use to show and breed Dobes, and when the DNA tests became available, I always had my dogs tested through a company called VetGen. Prior to the availability of the DNA tests, blood tests were done, which in my opinion were not terribly accurate, but was the only testing available *back in the day.* I believe the DNA test kits through VetGen are far more reliable. (mouth swabbing)

    Bleeding disorders are common in Dobermans.
