how do i turn this sentence into one with a active voice?

chaucer has been deemed by many schooars to be the first major english poet.

many writers have been influenced by chaucer's bawdy humour and insight characterizations.

i think the canterbury tales can justifiably be called the most popular work in english literature.

and wht is the difference between active and passive im so confused

    The third sentence is essentially in active voice.

    to be the first major English poet.

    Active- Many scholars deem Chaucer to be the first major English poet.

    passive- Many writers have been influenced by Chaucer's bawdy humour and insight characterizations .

    active- Chaucer's bawdy humour and insight characterizations have influenced many writers.

    Many scholars have deemed Chaucer to be the first major English Poet. That is that active voice. "Chaucer has been deemed by many scholars" is the passive voice.
