can inverted nipple correction be done in a peri-areola lift's insion?

Not too long ago I had a multi procedure (inverted nipple correction and peri-areola lift) however, when I took the bandages off there was only the scar around my areolas...and no change in my nipples. When I went for the check up my surgeon said that he did both procedures in the same insision..but I don't get how that would be possible? Considering where the scar is (around the outside of my areolas) - that is not near my nipples/mild ducts. I just want to know I haven't been ripped off as I payed a lot of money for this!
