Who do you predict will be the G.O. A. T. of tennis once they have both retired ... Rafa or Roger?

Federer will be 31 almost 32, not too old for his beloved grass event, he can do it to finish off as a Golden Slammer. Fit Rafa can be his biggest foe. Top guns don't usually come up within a year or two winning all kinds of big events. Therefore looking at what we have now on ATP tour, Nadal at 27, Murray at 26, Djokovic at 26, Roddick at 31, safely. Del Potro, Monfils, Tsonga are next level contenders, IMHO. Speculating is fun....but I believe a lot can happen between now and 2012. For WTA side ? the Sisters will be 31 and 32, Venus has a shot, but I doubt it. Sharapova, Azarenka, Zvonareva, Wozniacki, Lisicki, Kuznestsova are contenders, IMO. Fit Dementieva might go for another gold medal too.

Rafa but only if he can stay healthy. Injury has plagued his career. If he didn't get injured all the time, he'd have a lot more tiles/Grand Slams. Does anyone think Novak can surpass Roger or Rafa's greatness?

Federer has won on all surfaces and stayed no 1 for longer. Nadal has won 70% of his majors at the french open and 75% of his titles on clay. Nadal has been ranked # 2 behind Federer and Djokovic for most of his career and has never had a long stint as world no 1 so this one isnt even close in my opinion. Federer wins easily.

Roger

Definitely roger federer,

Seeing as he has won an enormous amount of grand slams,

and is also about 5 years older than nadal, and still getting into some finals of the wta world tour. The sad part is that eventually he will have to retire. :(

50 years from now, they'll be forgotten, except with tennis buffs who have record books, like Bud Collins' book, below. This is *assuming* that our form of tennis is still being played 50 years from now!

Of all time? Impossible because you cannot compare 'now' with 'back then'. Ever.
