40 years from now?

Back when I was in High School, movies like Saturday Night Fever, and Grease were huge box office smashes. Needless to say, the radio, was saturated with the soundtracks. Your only escape was the AOR stations At the time, I could not stand the Bee Gees.

Fast Forward to 2015. Over the years I have learned to appreciate the Brothers Gibb, they were really good songwriters, and most of their stuff is quality, just overplayed 37 years ago.

I cannot see anyone 40 years from now saying the same about Taylor Swift, Train, and any rapper besides maybe Snoop Dogg. Agree? Disagree? Will anyone stand the test of time that's playing right now?

Update:

I'm not asking if you think your/my generation's music was/is crap. I'm asking if there is anything you think will be thought of as classics, masterpieces 40 years from now.

To be Honest with you,I bet in the 2050's (40 years from now) People will look at Todays Music and think the exact same,I bet everyone will be saying "I remember when we had Sam Smith, and Meghan Trainor, that was REAL music" just like how today people always say "I remember when we had The Beatles and Elvis Presley, that was REAL music" Every generation is nostalgic about their childhood, and my generation (im 14) will look back on todays music and smile, even though i dont care for todays music, ill probably think of it and smile, because I will be remembering my time as a child, and the memories I had hearing those songs etc.

That was not considered music that was just untalented punks who had no talent but just made stupid Rock noise they all were a bad influence on young people. They are all scums and druggies just like the Beatles Led Zeplin and all of those untalented people. They had no talent the Beatles were terrible yea maybe they had a few songs that well written but mostly they were a bunch of untalented punks who sounded lie cats who the girls just happened to obsessed over they were the start of the fall of music. This is why you see people like Justin bieber today with no talent.

Talent was Frank Sinatra, Nat king cole Dean martin, Tony bennett they made Music not the stupid rock noise that these druggies made.
