The other answer was right that different tea needs different water temperature but it boils down to how you like the taste of your tea. You are asking what temperature to brew GREEN TEA. I suggest, the water should reach an average temperature of 150 - 160F and only steep for 2 - 4 minutes. As the green tea cools down, it will be no longer green because the tannic acid (polyphenol) in the green tea, when interact with air, it will oxidize and change the color from green to brownish

White and green teas have delicate leaves, and therefore require below boiling water temperatures between 170 and 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Too high of a temperature will cook the leaves and ruin their delicate flavors. Oolong teas should be brewed at temperatures between 180 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit.

Just shy of boiling temperature. Usually the best way to do it is to boil your water, then let it sit for 1 minute, then pour it in with your green tea leaves and let it steep for the recommended time.

Bring the water just under a boil about 85 degree celcius. Pour boiling water over leaves and steep only for 2 to 3 min. strain the tea leaves and enjoy.
