Why won't cons give Iran a chance? Obama's plan is good, we can observe them much closer and maybe end up with an ali.?

They have a right to nuclear power.

The following five grades of uranium are commonly recognized:

1. Depleted uranium, containing less than 0.71 percent uranium 235.

2. Natural uranium, containing 0.71 percent uranium 235.

3. Low-enriched uranium (LEU), containing more than 0.71 percent and less than 20 percent uranium 235.

4. Highly enriched uranium (HEU), containing more than 20 percent uranium 235.

5. Weapon-grade uranium, HEU containing more than 90 percent uranium 235.

It takes much more to make weapons grade Uranium. The difference is easily distinguishable.

    Give Iran a chance ?

You sound like we're letting them borrow the lawn mower and not Nuclear Warheads

Iran ? An ally ? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you know next to nothing about Iran

I dont think the problem is Iran's uranium enrichment or the number of centrifuges at all. I believe Israel and Saudi Arabia dont want economic competition in the region if sanctions are lifted. Otherwise, why doesnt the U.S. make a fuss about North Korea or Pakistan who actually have weapons.

There are issues with the Iranian deal, but sanctions are no longer viable. Russia is offering to sell advanced surface to air missiles to the Iranians. If they do that sale, and the nuke deal falls though, we will much less of a chance to take out a site proactively. That means that a limited nuclear strike becomes more viable, not from us so much, but from Israel.

Right now, especially with us having a limited role in Iraq, Israel can hit Iran on their own and there is little anyone can do to prevent it. With the S2A missiles, a conventional strike becomes much more difficult.

They did give Iran a chance when Regan sold weapons to Iran, gave weapons to Nicaragua Death Squads and regularly hosted meetings in the White House with the Taliban.

You failed to mention Obama;s plan didn't you. Here's a clue: What happens when the Iranians refuse to let inspectors in?

If they don't comply with the five nations involved then you can put on your holsters.

War is not the answer, we can get through to these people if we try.

I don't think they are much less trustworthy than us. Damn religions.

Taurushead, you are such a moron.

They haven't given us a reason to trust them.

Because they DON"T ant it for energy production, that's why they refused to let us GIVE them a light water reactor. HINT, light water materials cannot be weaponized.

As you say, "It takes much more to make weapons grade Uranium. The difference is easily distinguishable" by the resulting mushroom clouds. Hope you get a front row seat.
