What could have caused me to such stupidity ?

Update:

I was born in a family that believed in One God – Allah

We therefore as a family also believed that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah

I was always very very keen to go to heaven

I also learnt that The Holy Quran is the final revelation from our Creator to us

I learnt to read the holy scripture in Arabic language and completed reading the entire scripture by 12

I also memorized small portions of the scripture which I recite in my prayers to Allah

BUT I never understood what I recited.
