If I'm put on workmans comp for one injury but my own personal doctor finds another injury, can I get paid if I'm sent home by my employer?
So I got hurt at work twice...once was last November and I'm still being treated for it. Since then, I've been on light duty but got hurt again, only I've used my own personal doctor this time. My own personal doctor wants to take me off light duty but I'm afraid I won't get paid if she writes me off of work for a week or two. I know I have my workmans comp but my light duty time doesn't end for another 2 months. Does it matter who takes me off light duty? Btw I'm located in California. Thank you

WC DRs take precedence here over all other DRs and did you file a 24 first injury report on second injury? If you did then you must see the attending WC DR first s he controls your work details and he is the one who ends your light duty. Hopefully you were in the realm of your assigned light duty when you got hurt again but either way, your Boss will make you see your WC DR here or the claim will be null and void and hopefully wont screw up your initial claim. Good luck
