I'm trying to do a survey to figure out the problem?

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima that all the sudden doesn't want to idle-- when I come to a stop sign or red light- the engine stalls out. What is most likely the cause???

A survey is worthless opinion aggregated. A proper diagnostic is what is called for. Stop playing silly guessing games. The most likely cause won't necessarily be the correct one.

IAC AAC valve electronically controlled idle speed device the engine control commands to a set idle speed. The IAC-AAC short out and ruin the ECM. Most time both parts are needed (empty out your wallet)

The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve controls the idle on any '96 or newer car.
