Mortal Kombat X DLC question?

Ok, apparently me and countless other people were mislead by the Kombat pack. From the way it is described it seems like Jason, Predator, ETC would be available immediately with the purchase. But, is it just in fact early purchase of them that makes it cheaper than buying them all separately and you still have to wait until the release dates?

    Its a season pass under a different name.

    It means when the DLC are released, you get them automatically (you don't pay extra).

    I knew this going in, and was not misled at all.

    What is weird though, is Jason is showing up on my loading screen and character description, but I guess I can't play with him until the 26th.

    That is exactly what it is, it's a season pass, but just with a different name.
