    Do you mean the large town in the North-East or the village near Lancaster in the North-West?

    The town is a rather run-down ex-industrial one.

    The village is small and is unusual in being the only mainland settlement in England reliant upon a tidal road. At each high tide it is cut off for hours (which suits the local kids as they sometimes get to go to school late or leave early to fit in with the tide).
