can i drink wine while on prozac?
I'm 21 I've been on Prozac for 2 weeks now for ocd I take 20 mg for it. Me and my gf would like some wine tonight for a special occasion. we only plan on 2 glasses of wine. Is this ok? On the bottle it just explains how it will affect ability to drive or perform hazordous tasks.

No.There is a reason why you never take medication and drink alcohol. Prozac causes severe enough side effects in some people and mixing it with alcohol, is asking for very serious trouble. Why put yourself at that kind of risk, just so you can have a drink? Don't do it.

Alcohol will affect you much more while on Prozac, if you wish to have any alcohol I would choose not to drive, especially as you haven't tried alcohol while on Prozac, if you do drink it is very possible that you will just want to curl up and sleep.
I think if you wish to have a good date night with your girlfriend, maybe a night without alcohol would allow you to finish the night on a better note.
