if i did my heavy equipment training in Ontario, would i be able to work out of the province? in AB or SK for example?

Of course. You are not tied down to one province.
The only condition that you may have is that if you went to school in Ontario and then try to get a job in Alberta, they may require you to show certification or become a member of some union in that province. generally a school certification in one province will be accepted by another. Only exception to the rule is Quebec, where language issues may mean you have to also do some French courses to be hired.

You can...most of the people working out there now doing it are from the Atlantic provinces-however you might find that with the reduction in the price of oil that finding a job "out there" is a helluva lot harder now than it would have been a couple of years ago-most companies are laying people off and a lot of those people are moving back east.
