Why has the hashtag become such a cultural phenomenon?

1) Lowered intellectual standards,

2) Lack of useful educations,

3) Attention deficit disorder on a mass scale,

4 Indulging in interrupt-driven behaviors on an even more massive scale; and,

5) Many other factors, none of which redound to the benefit of the nation as a whole. It does FEEL good, tho'! lol

Teenagers on social media want to tag their posts. This is foolish because anyone can see anything they desire if they simply click your profile. #Stupidhashtags
