what is the chemical formula for this question?

we're learning about iodimetric analysis and the instructor is helpless and I can't figure out how to solve this problem

"An old tablet of vitamin C weighed 1.002g. It was dissolved in 500 mL water, and a 25.0mL aliquot of this solution required 22.6 of .005M I2(iodine) solution to oxidize it. Calculate the mg vitamin C in the tablet"

    1) calculate mol iodine used

    2) from the mol iodine and the balanced chemical equation calculate the mol vitamin C in the sample

    3) from the mol vitamin C calculate the mass of vitamin C

    You don't give a chemical equation - you need to have that to do the calculation
