My son was playing baseball I the yard and the ball hit one of our young chickens! She's still breathing but she's not waking up. HELP!!?

Besides taking her to a vet -- just wait to see what will happen -- I know it is a waiting game of sorts --

We kept her warm and fed her water with a dropper through the night. Her buddy came looking for her the next morning and she did eventually wake up. While sitting with her I noticed that she wasn't acting like a chicken in more than just a couple of ways. Couldn't stay set on my leg, would fall off. Wouldn't run or even flinch with any quick movement from me, she would just sit there and look at me. Since there was obviously something wrong with her, we ended her life quickly and buried her in the front yard near home plate. RIP Snow White.

An old trick told by the elders was to put a bucket such as an empty ice cream bucket or a medal pot to cover over the unconcious bird and hit the bucket with a stick repeatedly for a while.

She needs to see a vet urgently. She may only be a chicken but they still feel pain and suffer and deserve vet care.

Tme for a Vet call. She could have a concusion, bleeding or any number of other injuries. time could be the differance between life or death. Good Luck!

I'm sorry but your chicken will probably most likely die, put i tout of it's misery, and make dinner.
