Muslims, what makes you believe that the bible is wrong? Please provide questions that I may research on.?
I'm a Christian but I'm looking into Islam. I want to be questioned and tried so that I may conduct a research and see what I stumble upon. I want to make sure what I believe is the truth.
Thank you

I'd like to add to Danny's answer:
Who said the bible is wrong? No, the (Real) bible is the book of god which was brought to us by god through the prophet Jesus (Pbuh). However, some of that has become distorted or corrupted (tahrif), while a lot of text has been added which was not part of the revelation. We Muslims that the same words of god was sent by his trusted messengers to different people at different times, the Tawrat (Torah) given to Musa (Moses), the Zabur (Psalms) given to Daud (David) and the Injil (Gospel) given to Isa (Jesus). Together, the Qur'an, these books and the now-lost Suhuf Ibrahim ("Scrolls of Abraham") constitute Islam's scripture. But since all scripture before the Qur'an is also held to have become corrupted.
And to answer your question, there is no single "Bible" and many Bibles with varying contents exist.Various religious traditions have produced different recensions with different selections of texts. Can you expect the word of god which is sent to the people, to be not specific and precise. The different content of the bible largely overlap however, creating an important common core. How can you expect the word of god to vary from one book to the other, where in the other. What ever Qur'an you read you'll always find the same exact text, and about 1/3 of Muslims have been memorizing the Qu'ran like the palm of their hand since ever. Not to forget contradictions between contents in the different bibles...

Salam Alaykum
- Jesus [as] was no more than a Prophet [he didn't claim to be God]
- Nearly 50% of the New Testament is written by a man who never met, seen or interacted to Jesus [as]...his name, Paul. So Christians are Paulians than Christians technically.
- Bible is a compilation of books with many unknown authors, for example nobody knows who authored 'Hebrews'. Very little of it are words of Jesus [as].....and worst of all many of his words have been corrupted. For example, the most important commandment is monotheism, but someone changed this fact and instead said the most important commandment is 'love' instead...[refer to Matthews].

Because we have been taught that the Quran is the only book. No other reason we do what we are told or face being shunned or even death.

The current bible is not like as the first it was sent down to Jesus (many Christians think the bible was written by many men after Jesus era, the fact is the Bible was sent down directly properly in Jesus era, and it was written down directly also by his companions/disciples).
