Job Corps... What s it really like?

May I ask, this is just me being a nosy cow because I'm British and know nothing about Job Corps and the likes but how are you a white Muslim in America? I know, how disgustingly ignorant I sound but was you born into a Muslim family or did you convert? If you did convert what was it about Islam that truly captured heart? How do you find being a Muslim in America? I live in London where there is huge Muslim community but it always seems like within America the Muslim community isn't shown much in the media in a positive way the way it is in England where many of our Doctors, Teachers, Politicians etc are Muslim
