Why do most capitalists not take into account the damage done to people and the environment?

The greed for money fogged their minds.

The only people affected by capitalism are its willing clients. If I purchase an environmentally damaging product, am I not as guilty as the manufacturer? As an old age pensioner I drive my 20 year old Honda Civic by the parking lot of teachers in the local elementary school. Unionized teachers, who, if anyone could, embody the essence of political correctness, and what do they drive? Shiny new SUVs carrying , as my Civic does, one person to their destination. Anyone who attempts to persuade me to a liberal way of thinking would have to make me ignore hypocrisy. An impossible task.. .

Because capitalist by definition number one principle is to profit
