Is Western Union a legit bank?
I was scammed some time ago on the net and was told to deposit money to Western Union. I didn't, but gave them part of my credit card number before I realized what had happened. I've since cancelled that account and have a new card.

Western Union is a legitimate money transfer service company, however it is frequently used in scams. Be wary of websites and people that claim they only accept payments through Western Union - most legitimate merchants will accept credit cards, and you shouldn't transfer money to people you don't personally know and trust.
