Dogs withdraw, become inactive, maybe won't eat, sleep patterns change. The first thing to do is get the dog to the vet to rule out a physical problem which is much more likely.

Just observe every single movement of him.if he is not taking his meal on time.or may be if he recently loss any other animal friend.if he is not interested to go for a walk with u.if he sleeping more.if he is not reacting or feeling good even there is his favourite food in front of him.things like that...
