How can I message someone on Yahoo?

The user you mention does have the option to email enabled on her account so you can indeed message her, but you don't so you will need to enable that first

1) Using the Desktop Version of the site, click your name/avatar in the top left hand side

2) On your account page click "Edit Preferences"

3) Go down to the "Privacy Settings" part and put a tick in the checkbox "Can contact me via email"

4) Click "Save"

Then go to the question where she has answered and click on her name/avatar and this will take you to her account page. Then click on "Email" and you can drop her a mail.

There are two ways you can either email or message another YA community member, BUT NOT ON YA. BOTH of you need to have your email enabled, because Yahoo DISABLES email BY DEFAULT.

To Enable your email.

1. Left click or tap your user name in the LEFT column OR your avatar or your user name when it underlined to open Your YA activity profile. You also have Yahoo profile.

2/ Lefrt click or tap "eidt preferences" when it is underlined in the banner of your YA activity profile..

3. In privacy settings in the line thsay "answerscommunity [] can contact me via email. left click or tap in the box until there is check mark in the box.

you can also enable Yahoo messenger, but you have to download yahoo messenger and activate it.

Change any other settings you may want to change Your YA activity IS PUBLIC BY DEFAULT.

To email another YA community member

1. left click or tap either their avatar or user name when it is underlined to open THEIR YA activity profile

2. IF they have enabed THEIR email, there should be an envelope icon and an email hyperlink in the banner of their YA activity profile. left click or tap the email hyperlink to open an email page. Where you see your email address, they will see your user name, NOT your email address.

Compost the email

left click or tap "Send at the borrom

The email will go to their email inbox. IT WILL NOT be posted ON YA. IF you misuse YA as personal email, that is a violation and misuse of YA for harassing and exploiting the entire YA community.
