How is anime not art?
I saw a ton of anime haters say that the reason they hate anime is because it's not art. They all think that it's only drawn for fetishes when they're getting the wrong idea. How is anime not art when you can draw it yourself? Saying that anime is not art is like saying Harry Potter isn't literature. Well, people say that Twilight isn't literature but toilet paper. But seriously I need a legit reason why people say that anime is not art. It's offensive in my pov that people say that anime is not art. I have had enough of anime haters in one day. I love anime because of the graphics, the art.

The reason why anime is not art is 5 main reasons.
1. Provokes pedophilia being attracted to characters under the age of consent
2. Copies American artstyle
3. Ugly to most people. (I know Japanese people)
4. Animation is lacking (not as many frames per second)
5. Sexual and perverted
Anime is not art. It's an disgrace to Japan. I prefer Japanese dramas because the writing is so good it's considered art. I like Japan a lot. The only good anime is Hello Kitty which no one considers her "anime"

Harry Potter isn't literature, it's a novel. Technically something of literary merit is not necessarily any old novel. "Literary fiction is focused more on themes than on plot. In other words, they are works that offer deliberate commentary on larger social issues, political issues."

Why do you care what people say? It's art. It's not great art (but Harry Potter is great literature, so your analogy is a bit faulty).
