How to Get Sugar Wax Into a Ball
By Alice Godfrey, eHow Contributor
If you are unhappy with unwanted hair in the bikini area, but are afraid to endure a hot wax procedure, opt for sugar waxing. Sugar wax offers a gentle, all natural alternative to regular wax, which is laden with chemicals. Removing hair with the sugar wax ball method is preferable over messy strips and easy to perform in the comfort of your own home.
Things You'll Need
32 ounce glass mixing bowl
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons water
Mixing spoon
Non-stick cooking spray
Saucepan
32 ounce plastic container
Dishwashing liquid
Rubber kitchen gloves
Wax paper
Instructions
1
Add the sugar, water and lemon juice to the mixing bowl. Stir the mixture with a mixing spoon for 5 minutes.
2
Spray the saucepan with the non-stick cooking spray. Transfer the mixture from the bowl to the saucepan; set it on a burner over medium heat. Stir the mixture for 8 minutes, or until it becomes brown in color; turn the burner off.
3
Pour the mixture into a plastic container. Cover it with a lid and place it in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
4
Put on the rubber kitchen gloves. Place a sheet of wax paper on the kitchen counter; scoop a golf ball-sized amount of mixture on the paper.
5
Roll the mixture between your hands until you form a ball. This sugar wax ball is now ready to remove hair.
