Question about the law of pedophiles?

a) For example, is a 28-year-old liking a 15-year-old considered pedophilia?

b) Is a 23-year-old liking a 15-year-old considered pedophilia?

This is only because I need to know this info for good and for the good of the law, in case I have to someday tell my younger relatives about this.

pedophilia is generally sex with younger children..this sounds more like extreme immaturity BUT you need to know that sex with this child will land you in jail. Minors can't consent to sex.

Actually no to both of your questions. Pedophilia or paedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children, generally age 11 years or younger. As a medical diagnosis, specific criteria for the disorder extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13. What you are asking about is Ephebophilia which is the primary or exclusive adult sexual interest in mid-to-late adolescents, generally ages 15 to 19. The term was originally used in the late 19th to mid 20th century. It is one of a number of sexual preferences across age groups subsumed under the technical term chronophilia. Ephebophilia strictly denotes the preference for mid-to-late adolescent sexual partners, not the mere presence of some level of sexual attraction.

in terms of the law it's more about a set age where a person is considered capable of fully understanding the gravity of what they are consenting too when they consent to have sex. This "age of consent" is a hard limit where, if a person has sex with someone under that age, they are considered guilty of statutory rape.

pedophilia is more of a psychological term than a legal one.

    A - no

    B - no

C - CLEARLY you do NOT have an understanding of what pedophilia is and you should NOT be explaining anything to anyone until you DO grasp it.

    What is a pedophile?

A pedophile is a person who has a sustained sexual orientation toward children, generally aged 13 or younger

No it is not pedophilia. It could be hebephilia. pedophilia is the sexual desire for pre pubescent boys or girls. 0-10 or so. before secondary sexual characteristics start to develop. Hebephilia is sexual desire for adolescents. From the period of time that secondary sexual characteristics start to develop, to full maturity.

Pedophila is attraction to pubescent or prepubescent children, not to someone who is sexually mature (even if they are rather young). There are no laws anywhere against "liking" someone.

There is nothing wrong with 'liking' people or things, it is what you do with that

'liking' that counts. Legally speaking, different countries have different laws as well.
